Catalyst PT Spinning reels were completely redisigned for 2009. The biggest improvement comes in the weight of the reel. The CT10PTiB weighs only 8.3oz, and has a line capacity of 100 yards of 6lb. monofilament. The weight reduction comes in improvements to the reel body, the line management system and rotor design. Also improved from earlier generations is the TiMAG titanium bail with magnetic trip and LMS (Line Managagement System). The bail system continues to be guaranteed for the life of the reel. The Catalyst spinning reels contain 8 ultra-smooth, polymer stainless bearings and extra-hard Performance Tuned gears. This reel is finished off with a durable multi-coat finish and a light-weight machined aluminum, collapsible crank handle.
